The IEEE International Symposium on Performance Analysis of Systems and Software provides a forum for sharing advanced and well-established academic and industrial R&D work focused on performance analysis in the design of systems and software. Authors are invited to submit previously unpublished work for possible presentation at this conference. Papers are solicited in fields including the following:

  • Benchmarking
  • Workload characterization
  • Simulation
  • Analytical models
  • Statistical approaches
  • Metrics
  • Power and thermal modeling
  • Validation
  • Characterization of emerging applications/systems/microarchitectures
  • Case studies

All papers must be submitted directly to using the online electronic submission form . Please consult the paper preparation and page limit guidelines well in advance of the submission process.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: September 30, 2002 (a one week extension will be automatic)
NOTIFICATION OF ACCEPTANCE: December 12, 2002
FINAL VERSION DUE: January 15, 2003

If you are interested in organizing a workshop or tutorial in conjunction with ISPASS 2003, please send your proposals by October 31, 2002 to

The proposal should describe the title, names and affiliations of organizers, topic of interest and focus (an outline in the case of the tutorial), intended audience, motivation and purpose, expected attendance, proposed duration (half-day/full day), relationship to ISPASS, list of related workshops/tutorials at other conferences and brief bio of organizers. The proposal should be brief and approximately a page long. An email in text format is preferred.
